About Us

Synergy Security Services is a subsidiary of National Management Resources Corporation, which was established in 1978.  Synergy Security Services was formed in 2010, and provides custom technology infused security services for government sectors, corporations, retail locations, and education institutions of higher learning.  Our management team develops a customized plan that will exceed your expectations.  Developing the right security solution is about understanding the threat potential, general risks, and liabilities.  Synergy has the right offering to cover any security needs regardless of the scope of work.  Synergy also strives on delivering excellent customer service as we perform our duties.  Synergy will provide this high level of service at an affordable rate.  We take the time to collaborate with you to evaluate your short-term security needs and develop custom, long-term plans designed specifically for your location — all while working with your existing budget and even saving you money.

In July of 2019, Jeff Carson was hired as Director of Operations as Synergy made a commitment to expand outside of education and is now doing business as Synergy Security Services, LLC.  Jeff has owned a

small business since 1999 and worked as a State of Georgia law enforcement officer from January 2015 to October of 2018. Jeff has completed over 376 hours of training as a Peace Officer. This training

included Highway Drug Interdiction, Commercial Vehicle Interdiction, Patrol Rifle, Shotgun; Pistol certification, Police Legitimacy, Procedural Justice, Community Relations, Hazardous Material, Suicide Prevention, Mental & Emotional Wellness, Use of Deadly Force; De-escalation. Jeff is also a certified NRA Pistol Instructor. While employed as a Georgia Officer, Jeff received the Officer of the Year award for the Lagrange Region. The award is presented to an officer who has displayed initiative, leadership, character, integrity, and whose outstanding work performance has exemplified the Department’s core values.

Eric Flournoy has been working in the area of law enforcement and security for 25 years. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Savannah State University. He started his law enforcement career in the United States Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons and later transferred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

He started his law enforcement career in the United States Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons and later transferred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. While employed as an Investigative Specialist with the FBI, Mr. Flournoy was assigned to the Critical Incident Response Group. He was the Assistant Team Leader for the Special Surveillance Group that was responsible for conducting foreign counterintelligence and counterterrorism surveillance. His work performance played an intricate part in the FBI counterintelligence mission. During his career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons he was assigned to the Special Investigation Services as the Special Investigative Supervisor. Mr. Flournoy's tenue with the Federal Bureau of Prisons included Federal Prison Camp, Bryan, TX, United State Penitentiary, Atlanta, GA and United State Federal Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri. He also was a member of the JTTF (Joint Terrorism Task Forces) while employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He received numerous awards and recognitions for maintaining and securing the safety of high-level federal inmates.

Mr. Flournoy career have been in a diverse field of law enforcement which gives him experiences in maintaining the safety and security of individuals, institutions and the United States. One of his strengths includes the ability to adapt to changes within the work environment.

He began as Firefighter/AEMT, promoted to Lieutenant and eventually Captain. During his career he oversaw the professional development and training of medical and fire response personnel. Greg has been in the technology field for over 30 years. He started out in the US Navy as a Nuclear Electronics Technician, then upon separation started a job at Southern Poly as a computer service technician in 1998. He attended college while at SPSU and finally left for Paulding County Schools in 2015. At PCSD he served as the Network Engineer until retirement in August of 2025. Greg joined Synergy Security in late 2025 to build the Integrated services department to bolster the company's technological offerings adding AI Cameras, door access control, drone surveillance and network infrastructure to the company's already extensive menu.

Norman A. Robinson is an experienced public safety professional, instructor, and operations leader with more than 30 years of service in firefighting, emergency management, and security operations. Beginning his fire service career in August 1989, he advanced to the rank of Battalion Fire Chief, where he held command responsibility for personnel, apparatus, and emergency response operations.

Throughout his career, Mr. Robinson has specialized in adult education within high-risk, compliance-driven environments. He has delivered classroom and hands-on instruction in fire suppression, vehicle extrication, hazardous materials response, and EMT-Basic care. A certified Fire Instructor and CPR/First Aid Instructor, he is recognized for clear communication, structured training delivery, and the ability to translate real-world emergency experience into practical learning.

In his current role as District Manager for Synergy Security Services, he oversees multi-site operations while developing and delivering compliance training, mentoring supervisors, and ensuring operational readiness through performance evaluation and corrective instruction.

Mr. Robinson is committed to mentorship and community service, serving as a Fire Prevention Instructor for local schools and as a Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor. His teaching philosophy emphasizes safety, accountability, and confidence-building through practical application and supportive instruction.

Dwayne Hancock is a public safety professional with more than 25 years of experience in law enforcement, supervision, investigations, and community safety education. Throughout his career, he has served in patrol operations, criminal investigations, school safety programs, and leadership roles, building a strong reputation for professionalism, accountability, and community engagement.

Dwayne began his law enforcement career with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office and later served over two decades with the City of Griffin Police Department, where he retired after advancing through multiple specialized assignments. As a Sargent in the Uniform Patrol Division, he enforced state and municipal laws, prepared cases for court, interviewed victims and suspects. He also served as a Field Training Officer, mentoring and preparing new officers for real-world policing responsibilities.

A significant portion of his career was dedicated to youth and school safety. As a School Resource Officer and D.A.R.E. Instructor, Hancock worked closely with administrators, teachers, and students to create safe learning environments. He developed safety plans, instructed 5th-grade D.A.R.E. classes, conducted safety training for students and staff, and coordinated secure transportation for school athletic programs and events.

Dwayne also served as an Investigator supervising a team of detectives handling serious crimes, including robberies and homicides. His investigative work included interviewing victims and witnesses, conducting surveillance operations, and executing search warrants. He is a certified Computer Voice Stress Analysis (CVSA) operator and has extensive experience in evidence collection and case preparation.

In the Office of Professional Standards, he conducted background investigations, ensured officer certification compliance, administered physical agility testing, and coordinated training records for department personnel. He also worked with financial institutions and community partners to establish emergency response procedures.

Currently serving as District Manager for Synergy Security Services, Dwayne oversees security operations across multiple locations, including school systems and colleges. His responsibilities include personnel management, scheduling, and ensuring safe and secure environments for staff and the public.

Dwayne is a graduate of the Columbus State University Professional Management Program for Law Enforcement and holds over 2,800 hours of POST training. His certifications include Advanced Peace Officer, Supervisory, School Resource Officer, Arson Investigator, and D.A.R.E. Instructor
